The purpose of TSAComment.com is to give a voice to everyone the TSA would like to silence. There are many legitimate health, privacy and security-related concerns with the TSA’s adoption of body scanning technology in US airports. The TSA deployed these expensive machines without holding a mandatory public review period. Only recently, after resisting court orders for months, have they finally decided to take public comments.
We took your comments, more than 300 of them while the TSA delayed taking them formally, as they are legally required to do. Now, we’re also helping you file comments directly with the TSA while they discharge that legal duty that they have to do so.
TSAComment.com is a project of We Won’t Fly, the consumer advocate and activist organization that led the call for Opt Out Day 2010 when, together, we shut down TSA scoping and groping over Thanksgiving weekend. A big thanks to our many supporters who fund our activities, including this project.
